where they returned[.] St Germain killed 6 Beavers[.] Perronne could Kill nothing[.] He complained that he was quite weak through want of nourishment[.] St Germain taking pity upon his Condition gave him a piece of Taureau[.]

Friday 27th[.] No fish this morning[.] In the Evening Wapouce caught 12 Ps[.]

Saturday 28th[.] This Day no fish was taken in either St Germain or Perronnes Nets[.] The latter was Seen this morning at his Tent Door roasting and eating the Guts of fish[.] St Germain came this Day for a net – La Viollette allowed the piece he had to rot During his absence[.] This is the Bulls excuse for returning a rotten Net but I am inclined to think it was rotten before his Departure for he Seems not very careful of nets – and as a proof of this he delivered another piece of a net hors de service not long ago[.] He informed me that La Bri's wife has a piece of Net of about 30 fathoms another of 7 long which the woman herself Confesses to have been Cut off the Nets Labri Had last winter to fish with for the Fort[.] Labri should pay this Net[.] Jolie's wife has another piece of new net[.]

Sunday 29th[.] In the morning the Sourd and his Brother Iyaselgieh arrived and traded 9 skins Corrasse and 1 Beaver[.] Before their arrival they put ashore on the Islands opposite[.] As we Doubted that they were making Caches St Germain went to the place and found 3 Large Casseaux of pounded Meat which he brought here and which made them blush although I always thought a montagner incapable of blushing[.] Iyaselgieh wanted to pass on Straight to the Potties on his arrival but we obliged the rascal to Debark[.]

Monday 30th[.] 19 Ps of fish in 3 pieces of Nets[.]

Tuesday July 1st[.] This morning we missed Perronne[.] St Germain after him again into River D'Arabasca[.] Soon after Perronne arrived[.] He had been at Mama Ouie fishing[.] La Viollette Set another piece of net and took 11 Ps fish[.]

Wednesday 2nd[.] [T]his morning Sourarda's Son and the two Young Men from the Grand Marrais arrived[.] They traded for rum the Value of 10 skins fresh and half Dried Meat[.] Sent Laviollette Down to the pointe to keep them from trading with Perronne[.] La Graine
