Thursday 19th June 1800[.] Two Montagner Men and two ditto Boys arrived from the other Side of the Lake[.] They traded 9 skins in Beaver and 9 in Corrasse[.] Between them gave 5 Skins gratis[.] The two montagners who came from Lac Claire went off in the morning but returned in the Evening pretending that they Saw two Sauteux who frightened them back[.] They did not play enough last night at their favorite Game, that of Bantum Scantum and they came back a second time to take a Surfeit of it this night, perhaps tomorrow night also[.] The Wind blew so hard that Laviollette could not visit his net[.]

Friday 20th[.] The Montagners who came from the Old fort went away[.] Laviollette took a few rotten fish in his Net[.]

Saturday 21st[.] Perronne takes no more fish – he sent two men with Nets to fish in River D'Embarrass[.] Lafreniere's wife and Comrade went off for the Bark River[.] At Dark The Hands Son and Chlueginu arrived from Grand Marrais[.] They brought a letter from Mr Wentzel – which contains nothing very particular[.] La Viollette took 12 Ps of fish[.]

Sunday 22nd[.] Perronne returned the books I had lent him[.] I made him an Offer of a few more to banish ennuy but he thanked me saying he intended to make a Tour with one of his Men in a Small Canoe tomorrow in a la Chaçe[.] This I construed to be a Tour towards Cumberland House to meet his Canoes[.] All the Women in the Fort except Adam's wife, who is at war with all the others, went and encampt with the Montagners on the Pointe au Chien[.]

Monday 23rd[.] Perronne and Dunord went off in a Small Canoe[.] Sent St Germain in pursuit of them[.] He is to follow them to Portage La Loche and Deprive them of every Guide they can come acrosse[.] I must remark here that the Bull seemed averse to going on this trip[.] It was very hard he said to leave his wife and Children alone and he thought it was useless going after Perronne for he only went a hunting[.] Gave him Pemecan for his Voyage[.]

Tuesday 24th[.] La Viollette Caught 24 Ps of fish[.]

Wednesday 25th[.] Picotes Child being very sick we got Parrin to Baptize Her[.] The three young Men who were on the Pointe au Chien among the ladies went away[.] La Violette Caught 19 ps of fish[.]

Thursday 26th[.] St Germain & Perronne arrived[.] The former Over took the latter the third Instant in River D'embarrass[.] They Kept Company with One another till Ponds old Fort –
