Timeline - War of the 3rd Coalition: 8 September– 26 December 1805

Starts with the invasion of Austrian troops into Bavaria. Ends with Peace of Pressburg.

Some date the beginning with Britain declares war to France (16 May 1803). As a result of this the French Armée d’Angleterre forms the Camp of Boulogne on the Channel.

By signing formal treaties on 11 April 1804, the 3rd Coalition (at the beginning between Great Britain, Russia, and Austria) comes into existence.

Included are the following campaigns:

• Austerlitz Campaign. 24 September 1805 (Grande Armée begins to cross the Rhine river into Germany) – 4 December 1805 (Armistice of Austerlitz).
