Proposed Laboratory of Neurocytology.
Description:
This is a four page, typewritten proposal by an Associate Attending Surgeon (presumably Wilder Penfield) for the establishment of a neurocytology laboratory at New York’s Presbyterian Hospital. The proposal was submitted to the Carnegie Foundation, along with a letter dated February 9, 1925 and addressed to Dr. Frederick Keppel, President of the Carnegie Foundation. In the proposal the author details all of the expenses needed for the functioning of a neurocytology laboratory, and also offers justifications for personnel and equipment. On the fourth page, there is an itemized list of expenses. The total requested funds are thirty thousand four hundred forty-four dollars.
