Description:
Typewritten letter from Wilder Penfield to Ross Millar, Director of Medical Services for the federal Department of Pensions and National Health. Penfield writes that unless facilities at the Montreal Neurological Institute (MNI) are increased, the MNI will have to "refuse admission to patients from the Department of Pensions and National health, much against our will." He also predicts that the care given at already established medical centres would be far better than what is possible at hospitals constructed by the Army.
