Saturday 2^nd[.] Early this Morning Perreault, Mandeville & Lambert went with a great many Dogs and trains for the above 6 P^s[.] Soon after Lambert returned telling us that he could not continue his Parole on account of the Dogs which sunk into the Ice with trains and all[.] The other two Men went on with a view to crawl along on their Bellies[.] Received a fur Credits in Gibiers[.] A montagner arrived from Slave Lake called Taba & paid 16 Skins Credits of that place[.]

Sunday 3^rd[.] Nothing very particular[.]

Monday 4^th[.] Perreault & Vermette arrived – they are now at L'Isle Des Outards[.] Vermette, Cadontte & Genereux went off immediately[.]

Tuesday 5^th[.] Adam & the other Men arrived with their Canoe and Baggage – Gave them the prey and a Dram[.] The Most of the Men are at Isle du Campment where they take plenty fish[.] Yesterday Picoté Sunk into the Ice and had not Delormes By^r in Law been near he would have bid adieu to this world[.] Joseph Labri also Sunk but his Brother Saved his Life[.] Dos Banded Cadien's I should say Gallarneau's Canoe[.] A hundred little Jobs were performed this day & every day about the Fort which are too tedious and of little use to be mentioned here[.]

Wednesday 6^th[.] Paspartous fishes for the Fort he sent us this day about 17 white fish[.] Doust and Cadien Le Blanc busy rebanding the Canoes[.]

Thursday 7^th[.] Rained the most part of the Day[.] The Ice broke up in the River before the fort. Received a few Credits in Gibiers[.]

Friday 8^th[.] This Morning about 10 o'Clock M^r Finlay arrived from the Peace River[.] Dos busy banding a Canoe[.] Gave him and Louis Bouche who assisted him a Swan – this is all they have had from me since their arrival except the prey twice of Pounded Meat and Grease[.]

Saturday 9^th[.] Busy arranging the Men for Lac La Pluie &c &c. Took an Inventory of the Goods remaining here I mean in the French Shop[.] Paspartous is very ill with the Molly Grubs[.] Employed La Beccass to fish & Gave him for
