Monday 9th[.] Bellair arrived from the lower Posts with letters[.] The Michinaway du Chienfou came in very poor[.]
Tuesday the 10th[.] Petit Jean, Ducharme & Bedard Started for RLS. as did La Couture for R. Trembte[.] Michaway d.Cf. returnd home[.]
Wednesday 11th[.] Faignan Houle & Falardeau kill'd each a Cow making a total of 89 Cows our Amas for the winter[.]
Thursday 12th & Friday 13th[.] [N]othing occur'd on either day[.]
Saturday 14th[.] Two young men came in from the Gros Français' Lodge for a supply of Ammunition for the Gun & for the pipe[.]
Sunday 15th[.] Last night there fell a little Snow[.] The two young of yesterday went away[.]
Monday 16th[.] La frêniere & Claude Started for the River la Coquille[.] [P]retty cold[.]
Tuesday 17th[.] St Pierre, St Denis, and Alain returnd from the River la Coquille[.]
Wednesday 18th (Ash)[.] Two young men came in as deputies from a Camp de Loge & brought 2 Loup cerviers & 3 kitts for Rum[.] Gave them 2 Galls[.] They slept two nights coming[.]
Thursday 19th[.] La Couture & Hamelin returnd from the Upper Fort[.] Mr Grant Sent five men with them for Pieces[.]
Friday 20th[.] Gave their pieces to Mr Grant's men, Also to two men for Mountain a la Bosse[.] Wrote Messrs Grant & Jno Miln[.] Engaged Hamelin for two years[.] Falardeau went out en chasse, Sent St Denis to Dog him as far as fourniers[.]
Saturday 21st[.] Six men Started for Mr Grants with Pieces and two with the Same for Mountain a la Bosse[.] St Dennis returnd from Escorting Jos to the Forks[.]
Sunday 22nd[.] Nothing worth mentioning occurd[.]
Monday 23rd[.] Shishikoé & five young men came from La Graines & other Lodges for Ammunition Tobacco &c[.] Cut 60 Taureaux[.]
Tuesday 24th[.] Huneau piled the wood of a coal Pit of four Cords of white Birch (Bouleau)[.] Cold – the Indians staid in ye Fort[.]
Wednesday 2th[.] All the Indians went off[.]
Thursday 26th[.] Two Assinibs came from Tabault camp & made a present of 16 Skins & 4 Bladds Grease[.] Gave 7 Galls & a few fioles[.]
[.] L'Os blanc & associate that came in last went away after trading a pack wolves[.] Young Azure return'd from RLS. with letters[.]
Saturday 28th[.] L'Os blanc return'd after night fall with 6½ Sks he got in a present from Indians coming here in exchange for a Suck of his keg[.] Gave him 2 Galls for them[.]
