This is a typewritten letter from Edward Archibald to Wilder Penfield. In the letter Dr. Archibald discusses the details of Dr. Penfield's appointment to McGill’s medical faculty and the Royal Victoria Hospital, and approves of Dr. Penfield’s planned research trip to Germany. In particular, Dr. Archibald discusses Dr. Penfield’s salary while in Germany and after he returns in September 1928. He also explains the details of Dr. William Cone’s salary, should Dr. Cone decide to accompany Dr. Penfield in his move to Montreal. Finally, Dr. Archibald mentions the Penfield family, their accompanying Dr. Penfield to Germany, and their eventual move to Montreal. This letter is dated February 29, 1928.
