This is a typewritten letter from Wilder Penfield to Edward Archibald. In the letter Dr. Penfield discusses the details that pertain to his formal acceptance of the position of neurosurgeon at the Royal Victoria Hospital and in McGill’s medical faculty. These details include room allocations and available laboratory and clinic equipment. He also explains that he had applied for a travelling fellowship for a research trip in Germany beginning in March 1928. He writes that, if his application was successful, he would not be able to start his position in Montreal until October 1, 1928. Furthermore, he states that [Dr. William Vernon] Cone was still considering whether he would also move to Montreal and work as Chief of the Laboratory of Neuropathology. This letter is dated January 30, 1928.
