This is a typewritten letter from Edward Archibald to Wilder Penfield. In the letter Dr. Archibald states that the Montreal General Hospital’s Medical Board were very enthusiastic about Dr. Penfield’s appointment and wanted him to take cases at both the Royal Victoria Hospital and the Montreal General. Additionally, Dr. Archibald writes that Dr. Penfield’s next visit to Montreal would be to have an interview with the RVH Board of Governors. He also recommends that [Dr. William Vernon] Cone come for at least the first year of Dr. Penfield’s appointment before embarking on a research trip to Europe. The letter is dated November 7, 1927.
