This is a typewritten letter from Dr. Charles F. Martin to Dr. Wilder Penfield dated October 14, 1930. In the letter Dr. Martin informs Dr. Penfield that he has been formally appointed as "the Principal as Chairman of the joint department of Neurology and Neurosurgery.” This letter was Dr. Penfield’s official confirmation of his appointment.
