This is a typewritten letter from William H. Nims of the Ford Foundation to Wilder Penfield. In the letter Mr. Nims writes that the Ford Foundation's initiative to support research on human behaviour and mental health was discontinued in 1957. Therefore, he tells Dr. Penfield that the foundation cannot entertain Dr. Penfield and Dr. Rasmussen’s application for a grant to support neurological research. The letter is dated February 13, 1959.
