Letter from Wilder Penfield to Barnet Phillips, March 1, 1934.
This is a typewritten letter from Wilder Penfield to Barnet Phillips. In the letter Dr. Penfield advises Phillips on where to find accurate pictures of nerve cells, which he can then use to create decorative motifs around the Montreal Neurological Institute. He also encloses a picture of a nerve cell and a list of neurologists whom Penfield wishes to honour in the foyer. The letter is dated March 1, 1934.

Included with the letter is a list entitled "Dedication of the Montreal Neurological Institute.” This is a list of notable figures in the field of neuroscience research, grouped by their nationalities. There are handwritten notations next to each of the names and at the bottom of the page. A second additional page includes a note stating that Franz Nissl and Alois Alzheimer should be honoured together.
