A black and white photograph of a young girl, identified by the caption as Ruth MacQuarrie, standing on a beach. Her father, Thomas William MacQuarrie, had once been a teacher at, and then the principal of, the Galahad School in Hudson Wisconsin. The school had been established in part by Jean Penfield in 1905, and Wilder Penfield was one of its earliest students. This is the third photograph on page 104 of the 1919 - 1927 photo album compiled by Wilder Penfield.
