This is a typewritten letter from the Principal of McGill University, Frank Cyril James, to the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Colonel George Currie. In the letter, James states that McGill University is unable to partake in the building of a permanent annex to the Montreal Neurological Institute due to the large cost. Thus, James proposes an alternative, specifically of a temporary structure adjacent to the MNI. He details his reasoning within the letter. The letter is dated July 12, 1944.
