Letter from Wilder Penfield to Frank Cyril James, July 9, 1945.

A typewritten letter from Dr. Wilder Penfield to Dr. Frank Cyril James, McGill University’s Principal and Vice Chancellor. In the letter Dr. Penfield explains that he has discussed the unfinished elements of the Montreal Neurological Institute’s new Military Annex with the building’s architect, Harold Lea Fetherstonehaugh. Dr. Penfield then outlines a number of elements of particular concern as highlighted by Mr. Fetherstonehaugh, adding four more items of his own. Dr. Penfield also discusses the sources of funds being used to support the Annex, primarily the British War Relief Fund and the Maple Leaf Fund. The letter is dated July 9, 1945.
