A typewritten letter from Dr. Wilder Penfield to Dr. Frank Cyril James, McGill University’s Principal and Vice Chancellor. The letter, dated April 12, 1945, concerns the construction of a modest roof structure on top of the Montreal Neurological Institute where patients could access the roof/outdoors. This structure would offer patients an alternative exterior space to that which had been lost with the construction of the new Military Annex.
