Letter from Wilder Penfield to Frank Cyril James, September 13, 1944.

This is a typewritten letter from Dr. Wilder Penfield to Dr. Frank Cyril James, McGill University’s Principal and Vice Chancellor. In the letter Dr. Penfield informs Dr. James that he has attached a recommendation drafted by the Montreal Neurological Institute (MNI) concerning the maintenance of proposed additional beds within the MNI which are to be dedicated to military casualties. Dr. Penfield indicates that the costs of housing the additional military casualties will be paid for by the federal Department of Pensions and National Health. He also indicates that he hopes the university will approve of the recommendation. The letter is dated September 13, 1944.
