fell upon her husband and put an end to his existence, which the old man no sooner perceiving than he descended the precipice and approaching the old woman, who dissembling her sorrow, asked the man from whence he came? I wander about, replied he: look upwards, says she, having a sharp pointed bone to stab him, if he should lift his eyes upwards; but the old man suspecting her treachery, interrupted her and told her that the Ermine was eating the Grease behind her: where upon turning about to save the Grease, she was killed by the old man. Such was the tragical end of the Monsters. The old man performed many more actions of the same nature and was looked upon as immortal.
