The term Freeman is occasionally mentioned in the narrative – I think Canadian Hunters would be better understood – as they really had the Indian Life. Would not the letter written by Mr Connelly to Mr Williams, and the answer, be a good addition to the narrative by way of closing. It would at least shew the feeling of the person who had the charge of the district in which Mr F— perished and the immediate neighbour of the Govern[or] and the unfeeling manner in which the […] was ruined viz the latter would […]erate ma[ny] of the expressions he uses throughout in the various applications made to him.

On the story as told, I cannot improve[.]
