Photograph of two skeleton specimens in the Hunterian Museum at the Royal College of Surgeons, England. The taller specimen is the skeleton of Charles Byrne (1761-1783), one of a number of "Irish giants" who displayed themselves for profit in the 18th and 19th centuries. The surgeon John Hunter (1728-1793) managed to acquire the body (which measured 7-feet 7-inches tall) after Byrne's death.
