Description:
This is a handwritten, unsigned draft letter by Wilder Penfield to Alan Gregg. In the letter Dr. Penfield writes that he wishes to be in Montreal for Gregg's upcoming visit, although he cannot be there at certain times because he needs to visit his mother in California. The letter is intended to allow Dr. Penfield and Dr. Gregg to coordinate their schedules so that Dr. Penfield is in Montreal when Dr. Gregg visits. In addition, Dr. Penfield claims there is interest in Montreal and at McGill University to expand the work of his department of neurology and neurosurgery, and he would like Dr. Gregg to come and tell interested parties whether the Rockefeller Foundation would be interested in assisting in that expansion. The letter is dated September 22, 1931.

Notes:
The note transcription reads: "Dr. Alan Gregg: Rockef. F. N.Y.C. 61 Broadway, Sept 22, 1931, Dear Dr. G. You may remember that at the time of our conversation in New York you planned to come to Montreal this autumn. I have to make a short trip to see my mother in California and if you will tell me the probable time of your arrival I want very much to arrange to be there at that time. There is a movement on foot at McGill to expand the work in Neurology. I hope you will be able to come up and tell us what you think of the situation and whether the Foundation is likely to care to help with it."
