Letter from Edward Archibald to Wilder Pemfield, December 20, 1927.
Date:
1927-12-20
Description:
This is a typewritten letter from Edward Archibald to Wilder Penfield. In the letter Dr. Archibald states that the Royal Victoria Hospital Board of Governors had accepted the proposal for Dr. Penfield’s appointment to the hospital, though they objected to the proposed budget for Dr. Penfield’s salary and the costs for his laboratories. Dr. Archibald, however, claimed that he could secure the difference from private donations. He also notes that there is less space for Dr. Penfield’s office and laboratories than had either been previously suggested or requested. To deal with the situation, he offers Dr. Penfield some alternative arrangements. The letter is dated December 20, 1927.
