This is a typewritten letter from Wilder Penfield to Sir Arthur Currie. In the letter Dr. Penfield responds to Sir Arthur’s request for the percentage of patients operated upon by Dr. Penfield’s department who die shortly after their operation(s). Dr. Penfield states that his department is in the process of doing an in depth analysis, but he does provide a number of statistics in the meantime. The letter is dated May 8, 1933.
