Description:
This is a typewritten letter from Sir Henry Dale of the Wellcome Trust to Wilder Penfield. In the letter Sir Henry states that the Wellcome Trust’s Board of Trustees would most likely be interested in supporting an exchange program between the Montreal Neurological Institute and British neurological institutions. However, he wishes to clarify certain clauses, specifically one that appears to leave Dr. Penfield as the sole nominator for candidates from Montreal. Sir Henry wishes to open that option to Dr. Penfield's colleagues as well. He then recounts his journey home on the Sylvania and that he enjoyed his visit to Montreal. The letter is dated November 3, 1959.
