Letter from Wilder Penfield to Robert C. Bates, October 16, 1959.

This is a typewritten letter from Wilder Penfield to Robert C. Bates, Secretary [Director] of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. In the letter Dr. Penfield writes that he is applying for an endowment of one million dollars from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and offers arguments as to why such an endowment should be granted. There is a supplementary note enclosed with the letter. The note details the activities, structure, and administration of the Montreal Neurological Institute. The letter is dated October 16, 1959.
