Letter from Wilder Penfield to Alfred Stengel, November 30, 1931.
Typewritten letter from Wilder Penfield to Alfred Stengel of the Maloney Clinic at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. Penfield expresses his regrets in turning down University of Pennsylvania's offer. He writes of the honor of receiving an invitation and the number of friends in Philadelphia he will miss working with. He explains that colleagues at McGill University have devoted much effort into making it possible to build an institute with funds from the Rockefeller Foundation. He also notes the relative isolation of Montreal would minimize administrative tasks and enable him to focus on his scientific interests. Penfield ends his letter repeating his many thanks.
