This is a typewritten letter, written in French, from an unknown author to Professor Pierre Marie of the Hospice de la Salpètrière in Paris. In the letter the author requests, should Professor Pierre Marie believe a new operation necessary in order to treat one Corporal Collin, that the author be allowed to assist the professor in conducting the operation. The letter is not dated.
