This is a typewritten telegram from "Bill" [William Chester] to Helen Kermott (later Helen Kermott Penfield). In the telegram Chester states that Wilder Penfield was still alive and did not suffer any head injuries from the torpedo attack on the S.S. Sussex. He also commends Penfield for his heroism aboard the Sussex following the attack. The telegram was sent on March 26, 1916.
