Description:
Typewritten letter from C.F. Martin of McGill University to Wilder Penfield. Martin writes in response to a question posed by Penfield on a recent visit to Montreal regarding the possibility of his privileges and monopolies as Neurological Surgeon being undermined by the appointment of a Chief Surgeon to the Hospital. In his letter Martin assures Penfield that the Medical Board, Hospital Board of Governors, and the University are in agreement that Penfield will be the primary authority of all neurosurgical activities at the Royal Victoria Hospital.
