Letter from Paul Myers to Wilder Penfield, Februrary 29, 1928.
This is a typewritten letter from Paul Myers to Wilder Penfield. The letter concerns Mr. Myers’ progress in overcoming United States government administrative and legal barriers which were preventing Dr. Penfield from receiving a fifteen thousand dollar indemnity from the German government for the injuries he had sustained when the S.S. Sussex was torpedoed in 1916. Mr. Myers suggests that the United States government would soon be passing the legislation required to allow Dr. Penfield to receive his claim. However, Myers has doubts that this may happen in a timely manner. He then moves on to speak of the progress of his children's sicknesses, including one daughter, Barbara, who had contracted scarlet fever. This letter was written on February 29, 1928.
