Description:
The back of a postcard, the front of which shows the Military Hospital at Dover. The back contains a message from Wilder Penfield to Wilburt Cornell Davison. The note thanks Davison for everything that he had done to assist Penfield following his being injured as a passenger on the torpedoed S.S. Sussex, and details the results of Penfield's X-ray at Dover Hospital. The postcard is dated April 6, 1916.

Transcription reads: "April 6, 1914, Thanks for all you've done. Will you send back my letter? I want Johnnie Motts address. X ray report follows. "L. N(?) - Fissure-fracture of inner half of head of tibea through joint. Very little displacement. Anterior tubercle of tibea almost completely separated." The leg is progressing fast just lying on pillows. I'll be on crutches pretty soon. Yours, Pen."
