A black and white photograph of a cottage in a field. The building is identified as “Mother Jean's Cottage.” The photograph, which is dated as having been taken in 1921, is of Jean Penfield’s house in California. The caption notes that the image was taken prior to apparently extensive landscaping work was completed around the house. There appear to be at least three people in the image, one on the front path and two on the porch. This is the first photograph on page 101 of the 1919 - 1927 photo album compiled by Wilder Penfield.
