A black and white studio photograph of an infant. This child is identified in the image’s caption as “Marian.” The caption also indicates that the child was two years old when the image was taken in 1921. The child is Marion Merrill Chester, the daughter of William Merrill Chester and Alice (Miller) Chester. Bill Chester had been Dr. Wilder Penfield’s friend and roommate at Princeton University. Marian, who was born in 1919, was the Chesters’ first child. This is the second photograph on page 98 of the 1919 - 1927 photo album compiled by Wilder Penfield.
