Description:
A black and white photograph of a boy and a girl sitting on top of a large rock, an improvised flag pole can be seen in front of the rock and a tent is visible in the forest behind them. The children are likely Ruth Mary Penfield and Wilder Penfield Jr. The photograph was taken while the Penfields were camping at a site they had named “Camp ‘Re-creation” from August 5 to September 5, 1923. This is the third image on page 67 of the 1919 - 1927 photo album compiled by Wilder Penfield.
