Black and white photograph of a room believed to be the living room/study. There is a large carpet on the floor. In the center of the room there is a table with miscellaneous items. In the back in corner there is a desk with a lamp on it. On the walls above the desk are various framed pictures and photographs. Next to the desk is book shelf with a number of large volumes filling the shelves. next to the bookshelf there appears to be a couch. The photograph was believed to have been taken in the Penfields' place of residence in Yonkers, NY. The photograph is from page 48 of Wilder Penfield's 1919-1927 album.
