Mrs. Wylie, Kathleen Wylie, Wilder Penfield on Bicycles, photograph.
A black and white photograph of three people with bicycles and two toddlers. The toddler in the white or light-coloured hat is identified as Kathleen Wylie, and the woman directly behind her and leaning against a bicycle is identified as Mrs. Wylie. The Wylie Family was well known to Rhodes Scholars such as Wilder Penfield. Sir Francis James Wylie was Warden of the Rhodes House in Oxford and supervisor of the Rhodes Trust. To the right of Mrs. Wylie is an unidentified young man wearing a hat, as well as Wilder Penfield, both of whom are also holding bicycles. Dr. Penfield has his right hand on the shoulder of a small child, possibly Wilder Jr. This is the first photograph on page 34 of the 1919 - 1927 photo album compiled by Wilder Penfield.
