Description:
A black and white image of a group of six people, three in the foreground and three in the distance. In the middle of the photograph and in the foreground are Wilder Graves Penfield and Wilder Jr. Dr. Penfield appear to be riding a bicycle and Wilder Jr. is either in a seat upon, or is sitting directly upon, the handlebars. In the foreground and at the extreme left of the photograph is Abigail Eliot. There is an unidentified woman in the background standing behind a fence and holding a small child. The child may be Ruth Mary Penfield. Another child, possibly Donald Blencowe, stands in front of the fence. According to the photograph’s caption, the image was captured on, or at the beginning of, a trip to the village of Dorchester-on-Thames on August 29, 1920. This is the second photograph from page 31 of the 1919 - 1927 photo album compiled by Wilder Penfield.
