Description:
A black and white photograph of the view of the a tea garden on River Cherwell in Oxford. The Cherwell is a river which flows through Oxford, under High Street at Magdalen Bridge, and joins with the Isis (River Thames) at Boat House Island and the southeast corner of Christ Church Meadow. In the photograph punt boats can be seen on the river. This is the first photograph from page 28 of the 1919 - 1927 photo album compiled by Wilder Penfield.
