Date:
1920-05
Description:
A black and white photograph of the Wadham College Barge on what appears to be the Isis portion of the River Thames in or near Oxford. Oxford college barges were large flat bottomed boats that were moored on the Isis and used as boat clubs by both spectators and members of college rowing teams. In the image many spectators can be seen on the barge, as well as in passing boats. This is the fourth photograph from page 21 of the 1919-1927 album compiled by Wilder Penfield.
