Description:
Black and white photograph of six male doctors/surgeons, two female nurses, and a patient on an operating table in what is believed to be the operating room of the V.R. 76 hospital in Ris-Orangis (France). One doctor sits on a stool near the top of the operating table holding a bowl. One man stands at the bottom of the operating table holding the patient's leg up. The entire foot up to the mid-calf is darkened. Two men are bent over in concentration on the opposite side of the operating table.

It is on the forty-first page of Wilder Penfield's 1913-1916 album.
