Top to bottom from left: men, believed to be soldiers in what is believed to the V.R. 76 hospital in Ris-Orangis (France); Two nurses decorating a Christmas Tree; Two soldiers standing with their backs to the camera, appearing to examine a military truck; A river, believed to be the Seine, runs through a barren landscape, believed to be a site of trench warfare; a building-lined street, empty except for a cart at the end of the street.
