Letter from Wilder Penfield to Donald McEachern, July 31, 1944.
Date:
1944-07-31
Description:
This is a typewritten letter from Wilder Penfield to Donald McEachern. In the letter, Penfield informs McEachern that he will not receive a letter from the Montreal Neurological Institute’s architect, Harold Fetherstonhaugh, because the federal government did not wish to contribute sufficient funds to build a new permanent edition to the MNI. Rather, he writes that Ottawa was considering building a less expensive temporary addition, but one which, as Penfield stresses, would cost the federal government approximately the same amount as the calculated federal contribution to the rejected permanent edition. The letter is dated July 31, 1944.
