Description:
This is a typewritten letter from Wilder Penfield to C.E. Cross. In this letter Dr. Penfield declares his delight that the funds that he has sent to the Number 1 Neurological Hospital have been used effectively to improve conditions for the staff. He encloses another cheque for two hundred and twenty pounds for their use. He then details his encounter with Cross' daughter Mary. He then sends his well wishes and details of his correspondence with William Vernon Cone. In the post script he discusses payment details for various features at the Hospital, and in the post post script he discusses a filing system. The letter is dated June 11, 1940.
