Letter from C.E. Cross to Wilder Penfield, March 23, 1940.
This is a typewritten letter from Lieutenant Colonel C.E. Cross to Wilder Penfield. In the letter Lieutenant Colonel Cross apologizes for not being able to attend a dinner with Dr. Penfield the week before. However, he assures Dr. Penfield that he and a “full complement of officers” would be attending the Bon Voyage Dinner which was to be held at McGill University’s Faculty Club on March 30, 1940 to celebrate those Montreal Neurological Institute (MNI) staff that would be going overseas to serve at the No. 1 Neurological Hospital. He claims that he is looking forward to seeing the MNI staff, Charles F. Martin, Principal Frank Cyril James, and other McGill dignitaries at the event. The letter is dated March 23, 1940.
