Letter from Wilder Penfield to H.M. Hague, August 21, 1946.
This is a letter from Wilder Penfield to H. M. Hague, District Administrator of the federal Department of Veterans Affairs. Dr. Penfield begins the letter by apologizing for having missed Hague's arrival in Montreal and hopes that he enjoyed his tour of the Montreal Neurological Institute. He then discusses the possibility of creating a rooftop deck on the institute’s new Military Annex that would be sufficient to allow patients the freedom to go outdoors whilst offering partial protection from the elements. This required additional government funding, and Dr. Penfield hopes to discuss it further with Hague. The letter is dated August 21, 1946.
