This is a typewritten letter from Wilder Penfield to the Principal of McGill University, Frank Cyril James. In the letter Dr. Penfield discusses a letter that had been sent by Alexander Ross, Deputy Minister of the Department of National Defence. One of the issues raised by Ross’ letter, and mentioned by Dr. Penfield, is placing a cap on the professional fees charged by civilian consultants in the treatment of military personnel. The letter is dated January 8, 1945.
