Their Summer dress (men's) consists of a leather shirt, with long fringes before and behind, neatly garnished with coloured Moose Hair, and Porcupine Quills. Round the waist they have a belt, neatly wrought with Porcupine Quills. They wear long necklaces with fringes. Their Leggins and shoes are in proportion to the rest.

The tender sex of course strive to excel in this particular, and are sometimes covered with fringes &c. almost from head to foot. A Young or middle aged widow wears long leggins or Breaches, [and Muzzles her pudenda], in case of being [St… by some one she does not favour.] Children begotten in widowhood are generally stifled upon coming to the world: a barbarous method to prevent scandal. The Winter dresses are made of Fur.
