Description:

Napoleon on a white horse inspects the infantry and the cavalry retruned from Egypt. He is greeted with cheers and waves, swords and hats in the air. Houses in ruin in the background are a sign of the work Bonaparte needs to do to rebuild France. The event took place on 25 January 1802 on Place Bellecour in Lyon.
