Description:

Bust portrait of Napoleon, one hand in vest in the traditional pose. He wears his colonel of the Foot Grenadiers of the Imperial Guard uniform. Based on David's original. The portrait is surrounded by an elaborate frame decorated with Napoleonic insignia : 'N's at each of the four corners, a bee below, flanked by a hand of justice and a Carolingian sceptre, banners marked "AUSTERLITZ" and "St HELENA", topped by an eagle.
